A representação social sobre a formação profissional em estudantes universitários

Resumo

Este artigo analisa as representações sociais de estudantes universitários sobre a formação profissional que almejam, sobre a sociedade em que vivem e sobre seu papel nesta sociedade e é fruto da primeira etapa de uma investigação, de caráter longitudinal, que visa acompanhar o processo de formação acadêmica de universitários de diversos cursos de graduação, de uma universidade privada do RGS, que ingressaram, via concurso vestibular, no primeiro semestre de 2003. Nesta etapa, os participantes preencheram um questionário com perguntas fechadas, que visaram identificar o perfil socioeconômico e cultural dos ingressantes, e com perguntas abertas, a partir das quais, realizou-se a analise das representações sociais. No presente trabalho, apresentamos as conclusões desta análise, efetuada através da técnica de análise de conteúdo. The social representation about the professional formation in university students Abstract This article analyzes the social representations of undergraduate students on the professional formation who whish, on the society where they live and on their social rules. The research was carried through as part of the first stage of a longitudinal inquiry that aims to follow the process of academic formation of undergraduate students of various undergraduate courses, at a private university, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, whose were freshmen in the first semester of 2003. In this stage, the participants had filled a questionnaire with closed questions that had aimed to identify the social-economic-cultural profile of the students and with opened questions, from which we analyzed their social representations. In this paper, we present the conclusions of this analysis, to which we used the technique of content analysis. Key-words: professional formation, university students, social representations.
