O hip-hop vai à escola: embates culturais

Resumo

Este artigo é resultante de uma das “frentes” de investigação e de intervenção do projeto de pesquisa e extensão que trata do movimento Hip-Hop da cidade de Pelotas, desenvolvido no decorrer de 2000 e 2001 por membros do núcleo Estudos Culturais em Educação Física da ESEF/ UFPel. Apesar de ser parte de um projeto maior — estudos do Hip-Hop local — neste texto, procuramos, dentro do possível, deter-nos mais especificamente em algumas questões que dizem respeito às relações entre a cultura escolar e a não escolar, tais como: o tratamento delegado ao corpo, as relações de poder que circulam em ambas as culturas e suas possíveis interfaces. Essas questões foram tematizadas tendo o Hip-Hop como a referência cultural norteadora. Para fazer isso, utilizamos, basicamente, o arquivo de fotografias do projeto, com destaque para as fotos das oficinas de grafite realizadas por nós junto a duas escolas municipais. The hip-hop is in the school: cultural shakes Abstract This text is an article of the research/extension project that is engaged in the Hip Hop movement from Pelotas done during the years of 2000 and 2001 by members of the center of cultural studies of the Physical Education College of the Federal University from Pelotas (ESEF/ UFPel). Besides being part of a bigger project — the local Hip Hop study —, in this text we look for, as soon as possible, focusing specifically in some questions about the school and not school culture, such as: the treatment delegated to the body, the relations of the power that there are in both and its possible inter-relations. These questions were mattered using the Hip Hop as the cultural line reference. For doing this we used, basically, the file of photography from the project, highlighting the graffiti workshop photos made by us with two schools from Pelotas.
