Abreviaturas na internet: aspectos gráficos, fonético-fonológicos e morfológicos no registro da coda silábica

Resumo

Neste artigo, objetivamos analisar a frequência de registro de codas silábicas em abreviaturas na internet, bem como possíveis relações dessas grafias com características de enunciados falados. Fundamentamo-nos, para tanto, na concepção de heterogeneidade da escrita (CORRÊA, 2004), na noção de sílaba fonológica (SELKIRK, 1982) e em características fonético-acústicas dos segmentos enfocados. Com base em um corpus constituído de “conversas” on-line coletadas em salas de bate-papo virtual (chat) em aberto, observamos diferentes porcentagens de registros gráficos de nasal, semivogal, vibrante (os quais relacionamos a fatores fonético-fonológicos) e de fricativa (relacionados à morfologia da palavra) em posição de coda silábica. A análise dos dados traz evidências de que, na internet, o escrevente não se guia apenas por aspectos da oralidade, mas também por aspectos de (suas) práticas letradas/escritas. Palavras-chave: aquisição da escrita; letramento; abreviação; sílaba; bate-papo virtual.Abbreviations on the internet: graphic, phonetic-phonological and morphologic aspects on the coda syllabic registerAbstract In this article, we aimed at analyzing the frequency of syllabic codas register in abbreviations on the internet and their possible relations with oral aspects of the language. We are based on the conception of writing heterogeneity (CORRÊA, 2004), on the phonological syllable notions (SELKIRK, 1982) and on the phonetic-acoustic characteristics of the segments on focus. Starting from a constituted corpus of on-line chats, we observed different percentages of nasal, semivowel, vibrant (related to phonetic-phonological factors) and fricative (related to morphology) registrations in the position of the syllabic coda. The analysis of the data shows that the writer, on the internet, is not just guided by oral aspects of the language, but also by aspects of literacy practices.Keywords: writing; literacy, abbreviation; syllable; virtual chat.
