Abstract

ABSTRACT   This work had as objective to evaluate the values of remaining phosphorus and correlate with humic substances in a Red Dystrophic Latossol under different crop system in Brazilian cerrado. After 5 years of different crop systems, such as: grain, permanent pasture, grain/pasture/grain and pasture/grain/pasture, in no-tillage, soil samples at 0 – 10 cm depth were taken. Were determined total organic carbon tenors, remaining phosphorus values (Prem) and the organic carbon tenor at humic substances. A difference of 2.67 times between the highest and lowest value of remaining phosphorus was observed. The humic substances HAF, HUM and SOMA presented positive correlation with Prem, showing values ranging between 0.64*** and 0.72***. The crop system soybean/oat sequence with or without Bd (Brachiaria decumbens) and that include also turnip/corn sequence in the grain period influence at phosphorus adsorptions reduction with major intensity.   Key words: Organic matter fractions, competition and phosphorus adsorption.
