EFEITO DA ADIÇÃO DE CASCA DE ARROZ EM SUBSTRATO COMERCIAL A BASE DE TURFA NA PRODUÇAO DE MUDAS DE Viola tricolor L.

Abstract

O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a produção de mudas de amor-perfeito utilizando diferentes misturas de um substrato comercial à base de turfa (T) e casca de arroz carbonizada (CAC). Os tratamentos utilizados foram 100 % T; 75%T: 25% CAC; 50% T: 50% CAC; 25% T: 75% CAC; e 100% CAC. Os parâmetros avaliados foram: altura de planta, número de flores, peso seco aéreo, peso seco radicular, comprimento radicular e nota de raiz. Os resultados obtidos mostraram que a adição de CAC em substratos a base de turfa diminui a densidade, aumenta o espaço de aeração, facilitando a drenagem. O melhor substrato para mudas de amor-perfeito foi o tratamento com 50% de turfa e 50% de CAC em todos os parâmetros avaliados. A adição de mais de 50% de CAC ao substrato eleva demasiadamente o valor de pH afetando o desenvolvimento das mudas).   Palavras-chave: amor-perfeito, propriedades físicas e químicas.    ABSTRACT   The objective of this work was to evaluate the production of seedlings using different mixtures of a commercial substrate with peat moss and carbonized rice hulls. The treatments used were: 100 % T; 75%T: 25% CAC; 50% T:  50% CAC; 25% T:  75% CAC; e 100% CAC. The evaluated parameters were: height of plant, flower number, aerial dry weight, root dry weight, root length and note of root.  The better results showed that the addition of CAC to peat moss substrate decrease the density and increase the aeration space, facilitating the drainage. The best substrate considering all the parameters evaluated for seedlings development was that with 50% peat moss and 50% of CAC.  The addition of more than 50% of CAC to the substrate increased the pH value affecting the development of the seedlings.   Key words: wild pansy, physical and chemical properties.
