Abstract

Palavras-Chave: Produtividade, matéria prima, óleos vegetais e biodiesel   ABSTRACT         This study aimed to evaluate the productive potential and the yield of soy, sunflower, peanut and castor oil in Uruguaiana, RS. The experiment was carried out in Campus Uruguaiana of Catholic University in Rio Grande do Sul during the 2008/2009 season. The experimental design was completely randomized blocks with four replicates. There were evaluated the following cultivars: Aguará 4 sunflower, BMX Impact soy, Runer IAC 866 peanut and Al Guarany 2002 castor. The evaluated variables were grain productivity, percentage of oil in grain and oil yield in ton ha-1. The oil was extracted from the grains at the Bromatology Laboratory of University. The seeds were crushed in a hammer mill until they were a paste. It was used the Goldfisch Extrator for the oil extraction. PA and Hexane Ethyl Ether were used as a solvent. The peanut crop was productive en 3.867 kg ha-1 and with the highest oil yield to 1.85 tons ha-1. The castor showed excellent adaptation to the conditions of Uruguaiana.   Key words: Productivity, raw materials, vegetable oil and biodiesel.
