Abstract

Research associating increased rate of nitrogen with nitrogen applications are relevant in view of the importance of research on the crop. The objective is to analyze in different wheat cultivars the effect of nitrogen with and without reducing growth on the agronomic traits of culture. The experiment was conducted in a randomized complete block design with three replications with treatments grouped in factorial split plot with cultivar x nitrogen rate x use of the growth regulator. The evaluated cultivars Guamirim, Abalone, Quartzo, Fundacep Horizonte and BRS 327 in five levels 0, 40, 80, 120 and 160 kg ha-1 of nitrogen topdressing with and without the use of growth regulator. The variables analyzed were: stem diameter, height of ear height, ear length, mass of grains per spike, number of grains per spike, length of the first and second internode, grain yield, test mass and mass of thousand seeds. The use of growth regulator increased the test mass and grain yield of cultivars and BRS 327 CD 114. Cultivars and Abalone Fundacep Horizonte have higher magnitudes for thousand seed mass, hectoliter mass and grain yield without the use of regulator. Nitrogen rates positively influenced the characters stem diameter, grain mass per ear, number of grains per spike and grain yield.
