ANÁLISE DE UMA OPOSIÇÃO ENTRE PROPOSIÇÕES EM OCKHAM

Resumo

O tema deste trabalho refere-se à análise de Ockham da passagem 19b20-24 do De Interpretatione e do cap. 1; 1a 12-15 de Liber Praedicamentorum de Aristóteles para determinar as condições de oposição entre proposições de sujeito definido e não universal. O primeiro ponto determina que as proposições devem ter seus termos desambiguados. No segundo ponto, analisa-se, para evitar ambiguidades, a relação do significado dos termos: ‘justo’ e ‘justiça’. O terceiro ponto, trata das regras que determinam as oposições (lógicas) entre proposições de sujeito definido e predicado finito, infinito ou privativo. A originalidade é que, para Ockham, após a desambiguação dos termos da proposição, a ordem de dedução será: de proposições afirmativas seguem-se as negativas.Palavras-chave: Ockham; Lógica; Teoria das Oposições. Abstract:The theme of the paper refers to the analysis of Ockham of the De Interpretatione, quote 19b20-24, and the Liber Praedicamentorum, ch. 1; 1, 12-15, to determine the conditions of opposition between propositions with subject defined and not universal. On the first point, it is determined the propositions that should be disambiguated terms. The second point, it is analysed the relationship between the meaning of 'just' and 'justice'. The third point concerns the rules that determine the logical relationships between propositions of defined subject and finite, infinite and privative predicate. The originality of this article is to show that, for Ockham, after disambiguated the terms of propositions, the order of deduction is that the propositions affirmative implies the negative.Keywords: Ockham, Logic, Oposition's Theory.  CENCI, Márcio Paulo.
