PENSAMENTO ESPACIAL E ESTRATÉGIAS DE APRENDIZAGEM: DESAFIOS PARA A FORMAÇÃO DOCENTE EM GEOGRAFIA / DEVELOPMENT OF SPATIAL THINKING FROM LEARNING STRATEGIES

Resumo

O recorte de pesquisa apresentado insere-se em um projeto mais amplo que visa contribuir para o uso de estratégias de aprendizagem autorreguladas por parte de estudantes do curso de Licenciatura em Geografia da Universidade Federal de Pelotas - UFPel. O recorte, diz respeito a discussão dos resultados de uma sondagem realizada com alunos do Programa Institucional de Bolsas de Iniciação à Docência/PIBID do curso de Geografia, que teve por objetivo avaliar o pensamento espacial dos pibidianos e demonstrar a necessidade de investimento em estratégias de aprendizagem, promovidas a partir de intervenções que potencializem a aquisição desse tipo de pensamento, assim como o raciocínio geográfico. Trata-se de um estudo quantiqualitativo em fase de realização, como instrumento de coleta de dados para esse recorte, utilizou-se o STAT (Spatial Thinking Ability Test) que foi aplicado no segundo semestre de 2019. Com base nos resultados, percebeu-se que os alunos possuem dificuldades na elaboração do pensamento espacial, situação que por vezes pode dificultar a interpretação geográfica. Para promover a aquisição do pensamento espacial, propõem-se o desenvolvimento de oficinas de intervenção com o intuito de contribuir para a formação docente.ABSTRACTThe presented research cutout inserts in a broader project wich aims to contribute for the use of self-regulated learning startegies by students from the Degree in Geography at the Federal University of Pelotas – UFPel. The cutout, it concerns the discussion of the results of a survey made with students from the Institutional Scholarship Program for Initiation to Teaching/PIBID of the Geography course, that aimed to evaluate the spatial thinking of the pibidians and prove the investment necessity on learning strategies, promoted by interventions that potentiate the acquisition of this kind of thinking, as the geography reasoning. Its about a quantitative study on realization phase, as a data gathering instrument for this cutout, STAT (Spatial Thinking Ability Test) was used wich was applied in the second semester of 2019. Based on results, it was noticed that students have difficulties in the elaboration of spatial thinking, a situation that can sometimes make geographical interpretation difficult. To promote the acquisition of spatial thinking, it is proposed the development of intervation workshops in order to contribute for the teacher training.Key words: Spatial Thinking; School Cartography; Teaching and Learning Strategies; Self-regulation
