Fatores associados à dor e funcionalidade em idosos com doença de Parkinson

Resumo

Objetivo: avaliar a capacidade funcional e a intensidade da dor, além de associar variáveis socioeconômicas com esses desfechos em idosos com Doença de Parkinson. Método: pesquisa transversal, realizada entre janeiro de 2021 e janeiro de 2022, com 75 idosos acompanhados em um serviço de referência em São Paulo. Utilizaram-se as escalas de Katz, Lawton e a escala numérica de dor. Resultados: a média de idade dos participantes foi de 69,6 anos, com tempo médio de diagnóstico de 5 anos, predominância do sexo feminino (58,7%) e 44% classificados como semidependentes segundo a escala de Lawton. A dor intensa foi a mais prevalente (56%), porém a dor leve foi significativamente associada à dependência para atividades básicas de vida diária (p=0,041). Conclusões: não houve associação significativa entre intensidade da dor e atividades instrumentais, nem entre variáveis socioeconômicas e as capacidades funcionais ou intensidade da dor.
