MIGRANTES NA MÍDIA LATINO-AMERICANA E AFRICANA: UMA REVISÃO DE LITERATURA POR PERSPECTIVAS MENOS EUROCÊNTRICAS

Resumo
Este artigo revisa a literatura científica sobre representação-migração no Sul Global e outras regiões, enfatizando estudos comparativos no Brasil (BR) e na África do Sul (SA) e sugerindo perspectivas menos eurocêntricas. Resultados sugerem que a pesquisa sobre representação da migração opera sob influência do paradigma macro-micro. Investigações comparativas oriundas da SA através de meta-estudos e sua tendência quantitativa; juntamente com a influência da Análise do Discurso Francesa, das proposições discursivas de Bakhtin e Greimas no BR, indicam como as investigações da representação da migração precisam se expandir no Sul Global. Recomenda-se construção de análises mais sistemáticas com base no conteúdo e na exploração de diferentes graus/formas através das quais as representações dos migrantes são projetadas na mídia dos países em desenvolvimento. Deslocamento de uma perspectiva sociocognitiva dominante rumo a abordagens intersemióticas/sociolinguísticas é aconselhável. Sugere-se que o Pan-Africanismo/abordagens africanas e/ou filosofias latino-americanas façam parte dessa base de críticas relativas à migração.
