HISTÓRIA, MEMÓRIA E COMPORTAMENTOS SOCIAIS EM TEMPOS DE COVID-19

Resumo

Este estudo centra-se na análise dos comportamentos sociais relacionados à Covid-19, dentre outros aspectos, a partir do método histórico-comparativo e desde a perspectiva da História do Tempo Presente. O intuito é oferecer uma reflexão sobre a pertinência da dimensão histórica e da memória coletiva no estudo das epidemias e pandemias. A perspectiva comparada proposta parte das narrativas históricas sobre os comportamentos sociais durante a gripe de 1918-1919, a cólera (século XIX) e a peste bubônica (séculos XIV-XVIII), dentre outras epidemias e pandemias, e os contrasta com os comportamentos que foram evidenciados com a Covid-19 no momento estritamente presente de um processo em curso.  HISTORY, MEMORY AND SOCIAL BEHAVIOURS IN TIMES OF COVID-19Abstract: This study focuses on the analysis of the social behaviours related to Covid-19, among other aspects, from the historical-comparative method and from the perspective of the History of the Present Time. The aim is to offer a reflection on the relevance of the historical dimension and collective memory in the study of epidemics and pandemics. The comparative perspective proposed starts from the historical narratives about the social behaviours during the 1918-1919 flu, cholera (19th century) and bubonic plague (XVI-XVIII centuries), among other epidemics and pandemics, and contrasts them with the behaviours that were evidenced with the Covid-19 at the strictly present moment of an ongoing process.
