(RE)ESCRITURAS NEGRAS EM PÁGINAS BRANCAS: UMA REFLEXÃO A PARTIR DO PROCESSO DE PATRIMONIALIZAÇÃO DA SERRA DA BARRIGA

Resumo

O Quilombo dos Palmares ocupa um lugar ímpar na história da resistência e construção da identidade afro-latino-americana. Localizado na Serra da Barriga, em União dos Palmares (Alagoas); o lugar tornou-se solo sagrado simbólico-cultural. Representa a luta dos quilombolas que perdurou quase um século, ressignificadas através das mobilizações do Movimento Negro por meados de 1970 e 1980. O artigo busca analisar nesta relação entre o presente e o passado, os novos significados atribuídos ao local percorrendo de Palmares à abolição da escravidão em 1888, para refletir sobre a maneira como foi e é construída a identidade negra em um cenário nacional marcado pelo racismo, desigualdade social e racial. A consagração da Serra da Barriga como patrimônio nacional e do Mercosul representa um significativo exemplo dessa luta e os seus desdobramentos no presente: como reivindicação de memória que se vale do discurso histórico para construir dita herança cultural.BLACK (RE)WRITES ON WHITE PAGES: REFLECTION FROM THE PATRIMONIALIZATION OF SERRA DA BARRIGAAbstract: Quilombo dos Palmares fills a unique place in the history of resistence and the construction of Afro-Latin American identity. Located in Serra da Barriga, União dos Palmares (state of Alagoas), the place became  sacred symbolic-cultural ground. It represents the struggle of quilombolas that endured almost a century, resignified through the mobilizations of the black movement, for example from 1970 and 1980. This paper seeks to analyze in this relationship between the present and the past, new meanings found in that place, from Palmares to Abolition of Slavery in 1888, to reflect about the way which black identity was constructed in a national scenario marked by racism, social and racial inequality. The consecration of Serra da Barriga as a national heritage and of Mercosur heritage represents a significant example of this struggle and its unfolding in the present: as a relevant memory that uses historical discourse to build this cultural capacity.
