Imaginário e Representações sobre o negro: implicações na educação

Resumo

O presente trabalho busca discutir as relações inter-étnicas na escola, tendo como pano de fundo o imaginário e as representações sociais sobre o negro. Os elementos considerados relevantes para a construção deste imaginário e destas representações, no Brasil, são abordadas através de uma breve retrospectiva histórica. O texto também aborda os reflexos deste imaginário na educação ressaltando a necessidade de produção de representações não excludentes e não racistas. Palavras-chave: : imaginário; representação social; negro; educação Abstract:  This article aims at discussing inter-ethnic relations in schools, considering the imaginary and social representations established in our society about black people. The elements considered relevant for the construction of imaginary and social representation in Brazil are brought out through a brief historical retrospective. The text also intends to approach the reflex of this imaginary in education, emphasizing the necessity of building a representation non excludent and non racist.
