Abstract

Resumo: O presente estudo analisa a zona costeira amazônica sob a ótica da geopolítica e da sociobiodiversidade, situando-a no contexto da Pan-Amazônia como um território estratégico global. Caracterizada geomorfologicamente como "litoral quaternário norte", a região abriga a maior faixa contínua de manguezais do planeta, configurando uma complexa interface fluvio-oceânica essencial para a regulação climática e manutenção de serviços ecossistêmicos. O texto problematiza a ocupação desordenada impulsionada pela lógica capitalista e os riscos emergentes das mudanças climáticas, como erosão e elevação do nível do mar, que ameaçam tanto a biota quanto as populações tradicionais. Defende-se a necessidade de uma governança participativa e políticas públicas integradas entre os estados do Amapá, Pará e Maranhão, alinhadas à Agenda 2030 e à Década dos Oceanos, visando assegurar a resiliência ambiental e a justiça socioambiental diante das pressões antrópicas e sistêmicas.

Abstract: The present study analyzes the Amazonian coastal zone through the lens of geopolitics and sociobiodiversity, situating it within the context of the Pan-Amazon as a globally strategic territory. Geomorphologically characterized as the "Northern Quaternary Coast," the region harbors the planet's largest continuous belt of mangroves, constituting a complex fluvial-oceanic interface essential for climate regulation and the maintenance of ecosystem services. The text problematizes the disorderly occupation driven by capitalist logic and the emerging risks associated with climate change, such as erosion and sea-level rise, which threaten both the biota and traditional populations. It argues for the necessity of participatory governance and integrated public policies among the states of Amapá, Pará, and Maranhão, aligned with the 2030 Agenda and the Ocean Decade, aiming to ensure environmental resilience and socio-environmental justice in the face of anthropogenic and systemic pressures.
