Resumo

É urgente que, em pleno alvorecer do século XXI, a Universidade reflita sua condição de ser e estar neste mundo. É necessário, contudo, que essa reflexão esteja acompanhada de uma boa dose de abertura para a sociedade plural, e não apenas aquela que se denomina letrada. A Universidade precisa convergir para um terreno que esteja longe do estigma da “elite intelectual”, pois esta divide o saber em castas e afasta a possibilidade do diálogo entre a diversidade de sujeitos e de saberes. O presente texto tem a intenção de animar essa discussão. Compartilha uma experiência pedagógica vivenciada no Curso de Pedagogia da Universidade Federal do Pará, no âmbito da disciplina Biologia da Educação. A intervenção se deu com estudantes e professores de uma escola pública de Abaetetuba/Pará e mostrou que é possível transpor barreiras quando se quer transformar.Palavras-chave: universidade, ciência, oficina de futuro, experiência pedagógica. Open the doors. We need to enter…AbstractIt is urgent that in the full dawn of the XXI century the University reflects its condition of being and exists in this world. It is necessary, however, that this reflection to be followed by good dose of opening for the plural society, and not only that one that scholars recognize. The University needs to converge to a ground that is far from the stigma of the “intellectual elite” since it divides the knowledge in castes and moves away the possibility of a dialogue among the diverse subjects and their knowledge. The present text has the intention to liven up this discussion. It shares a lived pedagogical experience from the Pedagogy Course at the Federal University of Pará, in the scope of the Biology Education discipline. The intervention was carried out with students and teachers of a public school of Abaetetuba/Pará and demonstrates that is possible to overcome the barriers toachieve the transformation. Key Words: university, science, future workshop, pedagogical experience.
