Abstract

Resumo: O presente artigo procura analisar os desafios que a Guiné-Bissau vem enfrentando desde o período da sua independência, em 1973, enfrentando enormes dilemas na consolidação e organização sociopolítica. Há sucessivas subversões da ordem constitucional e levantes armados, o que propricia a inclusão do país entre os Estados mais frágeis em termos de governança. Ao longo deste estudo, pretende-se abordar os principais acontecimentos que marcaram a história do país, contextualizando aspectos sociopolíticos e históricos. Serviu-se da metodologia qualitativa, por meio de pesquisa exploratória, buscando referencial em livros e artigos sobre a temática. Pretende-se que o estudo traga contribuições para melhor compreender os desafios políticos institucionais da Guiné-Bissau pós-independência.

Abstract: The present article seeks to analyze the challenges Guinea-Bissau has faced since the period of its independence in 1973, confronting significant dilemmas in sociopolitical consolidation and organization. There have been successive subversions of the constitutional order and armed uprisings, which facilitate the country's inclusion among the most fragile states in terms of governance. Throughout this study, the aim is to address the main events that have marked the country's history, contextualizing sociopolitical and historical aspects. A qualitative methodology was employed through exploratory research, seeking references in books and articles regarding the theme. It is intended that this study provides contributions to a better understanding of the institutional political challenges of post-independence Guinea-Bissau.
