The Story of a Cyclone and the Democracy of Small People

Abstract

First Paragraph: I compose this text in the capacity of a Brazilian citizen residing in a medium-sized municipality within the nation's interior. I write from the perspective of an educated individual, cognizant of climate change and the prevailing democratic context. However, I write on behalf of those who scarcely comprehend the significance of the term "democratic"; those who remain unaware of climate change, and who are oblivious to the fact that their very territorial occupation is fundamental to the sovereignty and security of this nation designated as Brazil. Although we reside in remote regions—situated in the hinterlands—we uphold democracy, safeguard our borders, and revere our culture. Above all, we maintain a profound respect for our people and our natural environment.
