The Perspective of Municipal Public Administration of Pelotas (RS) in the Face of Disasters and Environmental Climate Events: An Experience Report

Abstract

Abstract: The present experience report aims to share public administration initiatives and the challenges encountered during the climatic events that impacted the municipality of Pelotas between July and October 2023. This narrative seeks to highlight the impacts of these events on the community of Pelotas, in addition to presenting the adopted coping strategies and lessons learned. This account intends to contribute to a deeper understanding of the consequences of such events and to the pursuit of solutions capable of preventing and mitigating future disasters, viewed through the lens of municipal public management.
