Abstract

Resumo: A análise de conflitos bélicos contemporâneos, como o embate entre Rússia e Ucrânia, exige um rigor metodológico que transcende a mera observação jornalística, fundamentando-se na compreensão das guerras como processos sociais complexos e multidimensionais. O artigo propõe uma abordagem acadêmica baseada em três pilares analíticos: a identificação das causas estruturais e imediatas, a caracterização dos atores envolvidos e o exame das dimensões estratégicas e táticas. Destaca-se que a análise de uma "guerra em curso" enfrenta o desafio da saturação informacional e da desinformação, exigindo que o pesquisador diferencie propaganda de realidade operacional. A guerra é interpretada não apenas como um fenômeno de violência física, mas como um evento político que altera a arquitetura de segurança global e as relações de poder interestatais. Portanto, o estudo científico da guerra deve integrar perspectivas históricas, geopolíticas e sociológicas para decifrar as motivações dos beligerantes e as possíveis trajetórias de resolução ou escalada do conflito.

Abstract: The analysis of contemporary armed conflicts, such as the clash between Russia and Ukraine, requires methodological rigor that transcends mere journalistic observation, grounded in the understanding of wars as complex and multidimensional social processes. The article proposes an academic approach based on three analytical pillars: the identification of structural and immediate causes, the characterization of the involved actors, and the examination of strategic and tactical dimensions. It is highlighted that the analysis of an "ongoing war" faces the challenge of informational saturation and disinformation, requiring the researcher to differentiate propaganda from operational reality. War is interpreted not merely as a phenomenon of physical violence, but as a political event that alters the global security architecture and interstate power relations. Therefore, the scientific study of war must integrate historical, geopolitical, and sociological perspectives to decipher the belligerents' motivations and possible trajectories for the resolution or escalation of the conflict.
