The linguistic knowledge
a look about the teacher training in the UFSM Pedagogy course
Abstract
In this article we perform an initial analysis on the presence of Linguistic Studies in the set of disciplines of the UFSM Pedagogy Course. The theoretical approach traces a brief history of the emergence of
Linguistics as a field of knowledge that has as its object the language, its place in the Language Sciences, as well as its institutionalization and disciplinarization. In order to do so, we analyze the syllabus of the
subjects dealing with language and language, looking at their programs and bibliographies, trying to understand what contents related to linguistic studies are present in the Course and the purpose of these
programs in the formation of a teacher-literate. The results show us that there is a worrying absence of Linguistics and also an imprecision about which language concept guides Pedagogue education, considering that it needs this linguistic knowledge to work with the acquisition of language and language in the literacy process.
