Escuela y prevención: La educación afectivo-sexual. Una mirada desde la Universidad

Resumo

La siguiente investigación aborda la problemática del embarazo adolescente y su incidencia en el nivel de la Educación General Básica, (EGB) en el área correspondiente al oeste del conurbano bonaerense (Buenos Aires, Argentina). Se sostiene la hipótesis que, al ser la EGB un sitio identificado históricamente con la infancia, la situación del embarazo se oculta, pasa a ser algo ajeno a la institución escuela, y termina siendo invisibilizada. Desde la investigación se propone contribuir a la superación de una carencia registrada en la formación de los docentes en materia de educación sexual desde la perspectiva holística. Nos referimos a la llamada "educación afectivo-sexual". Para ello se realizó un exhaustivo relevamiento de material a fin de organizar desde la universidad talleres para docentes con el doble objetivo de reflexionar y revisar el imaginario sobre estos temas y poner a su disposición materiales adecuados para su tratamiento. Abstract This paper reports the investigation into adolescent pregnancy and its incidence in Elementary Schools located in the western suburbs in Buenos Aires, Argentina. We confirmed the hypothesis that pregnancy at early age is concealed from others, due to the fact that Elementary School is historically identified with childhood: pregnancy becomes alien and even invisible to school. This investigation aims at providing contributions to teacher education regarding sexual education from a holistic perspective. We have named it "sexual-affective education". We carried out an extensive collection of material in order to organize workshops for Elementary School teachers in the university so that they can reflect and work on their imaginary regarding this issue. Thus, we are able to provide material for the teachers to help them in their schoolwork. Key-words: sexual-affective education, prevention, teacher education, college extension courses.
