Resumo

As afinidades eletivas entre filosofia e literatura são tratadas nesse ensaio mediante algumas passagens encontradas em escritos de Jean-Jacques Rousseau. O prolongamento operado pelo teórico-artista entre ambos os gêneros ou, em outras palavras, entre o inteligível e o sensível, passa pelas noções de natureza, cultura e existência, alcançando o campo específico da educação pelo conceito de “educação negativa”. Esses, por sua vez, são apresentados por uma combinação de elementos marginais de referência que, ao mesmo tempo, acrescentam uma dimensão pictórica ao texto e ilustram uma certa técnica de escritura que oferece a nós, na condição de leitores de Rousseau, uma experiência intelectual, sensível e visual das noções e dos conceitos.Palavras-chave: Rousseau, filosofia, literatura.With Jean-Jacques Rousseau: through the edgesAbstract:The elective affinities between philosophy and literature are treated in this essay through some passages found in Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s writtings. The extension operated by the theoretician-artist between both genres, or in other words, between the intelligible and the sensible is linked with the notions of nature, culture and existence, reaching the specific educational field through the concept of “negative education”. These in turn are presented by a combination of marginal elements of reference that at the same time add a pictorial dimension to the text and illustrate certain writing technique that offer us as Rousseau’s readers an sensible and visual intellectual experience of the notions and concepts.Key-words: Rousseau, Philosophy, Literature.
