Educação a distância, formação inicial de professores, desenvolvimento profissional e pessoal: uma combinação possível?

Resumo

Nos anos 2000 a educação superior na modalidade a distância sofreu expansão acelerada no Brasil, principalmente após a promulgação da Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação Nacional (Lei n. 9.394/96). A maioria dessas vagas destinou-se à formação inicial de professores da educação básica. Partindo desse contexto, este artigo tem como objetivo analisar os efeitos dessa formação sobre o desenvolvimento profissional e pessoal dos alunos que frequentaram cursos superiores de Pedagogia e Normal Superior. Para desenvolver o estudo, foi feito um levantamento da produção da pós-graduação sobre o tema no banco de teses da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) seguida da seleção e leitura dos trabalhos na totalidade. As análises feitas evidenciaram que contribuições significativas foram trazidas pelos cursos aos estudantes, na ótica dos pesquisadores, mas também problemas foram apontados, revelando a importância desta discussão para a elaboração de políticas educacionais na área, em nosso país.Palavras-chave: formação de professores, anos iniciais da escolarização, desenvolvimento profissional e pessoal, educação a distância.Distance education, initial training of teachers, personal and professional development: a possible combination?Abstract:In the decade 2000 the higher education in distance mode got a rapid growth in Brazil, especially after the promulgation of the Law of Directives and Bases of National Education (Law No.9394/96). Most of these vacancies allocated the initial training of teachers to basic education. Due to this situation, this paper aims to analyze the effects that these courses have been leading to the personal and professional development of students who attended higher distance courses in Pedagogy and Normal courses at superior level. To develop the study, it was done a survey of the postgraduate production on the subject in the bank of theses of the Coordination of Improvement of People of Higher Level (CAPES) followed of the selection and reading of the works in the totality. The analysis made had evidenced that significant contributions were brought by the courses to the students, in the perspective of the researchers, but problems had been also pointed, disclosing the importance of this debate for the elaboration of educational politics in the area, in our country.Keywords: teacher training, initial years of schooling, personal and professional development, distance education.
