Educational Public Policies in Mozambique in the Early Years of Independence (1975-1981)
Abstract
Abstract: The present work aims to analyze the advancements of the education system in Mozambique immediately following the attainment of independence, taking into account the numerous educational public policies implemented, which enabled the expansion of the national teaching network as well as higher education institutions. The importance of education in Mozambique during the height of the struggle for the country's independence is further emphasized. For the conduct of this research, bibliographic research was employed, allowing for the collection of significant and solid data for theoretical grounding, alongside document analysis. It was concluded that when education is established as a priority through State public policies, the possibility exists to achieve high levels of socioeconomic development, as evidenced by the achievements attained in Mozambique shortly after the Proclamation of Independence (1975).
